Currently, I’m helping to reform our Venue Business Plan. I’m working on creating some contract templates for different types of events, updated expected costs that we will incur with running a venue business, and update any other outdated info in the plan.
The largest thing I’m working on currently is a child protection policy. One of our hopes is to have a daycare/preschool in the fellowship hall section of our building, or just anything that is geared towards kids, and so having a policy for them is a very important thing. I’ve been reading examples of policies and looking at what is most important to include.
Later this month, I may also begin working on a campus ministry program at UW Seattle. I have a connection already from having gone to Camp Cristos this past week (A wels church camp in Idaho) to be a cabin counselor. I met one of the other adult volunteers who has a kid that goes there that might be interested, and he knows some other people who also may be. I’m looking forward to starting this project quite a bit :).
